Bishop Herman Tolar has been in the Ministry of our Lord since 1990. He is the Bishop and Founder of Disciple Fellowship Christian Church, a spirit-led, disciplined Christian ministry located in Washington Park, Illinois. His wife, Michele, and their children, Chanel and Christian, and granddaughter, Samaria, join him in the rewarding labor of ministry. Bishop Tolar believes, lives, and teaches God is a God of love and order. He believes the Church is one and challenges all Believers to be Kingdom-minded. Unity of the body of Christ is progress in the Kingdom. He boldly proclaims that God desires everything to be done in decency and order. He quotes, "Spiritual discipline and obedience are the roads that lead to all that God has to offer His children."

Bishop Herman Tolar was ordained and licensed under the Rhema Apostolic International Network (R.A.I.N.), under the oversight of Apostle Carlos Malone, who is located in Miami, Florida.  R.A.I.N. is not affiliated with the Apostolic denomination but rather is an international network of ministries designed to empower pastors, leaders, and congregations.
